Payment Deadlines
Please read the following carefully:
|
- Taxes are due and payable the first Monday of October each year. The deadline to
pay taxes each year is the last day in February of the following calendar year.
For example, taxes for the 2011 year become due in October of 2011, and must be paid by February 29, 2012. After that date,
taxes are delinquent and interest and penalty charges apply.
- A penalty of 1/2% and interest of 1% of base tax is added to any unpaid balance on March 1st after the February payment deadline.
Interest and penalty continues to accrue on the first day of each subsequent month until taxes are paid in full.
- The first day of each month begins at 12:00 a.m. CST and is determined by the web server that hosts this site.
- The web server's current date and time is: 10/9/2024 5:38:36 AM
- Click the browser refresh button to update the time.
- Payment of taxes with a delinquent status of one year or more may be subject to lawsuit charges and other legal fees.
- Tax balances must be paid in full before a tax lien can be removed. All tax-year payoffs will be verified by the Trustee on the date of payment receipt.
All taxpayers are responsible for the payment of fees through the date of payment.
